    carbohydrate counting

This fake mousse recipe, in addition to containing no added sugar, is low in calories compared to the original chocolate mousse recipe. The traditional chocolate mousse has an average of 300 to 400 Kcal in an average portion of 100 to 150 g. The fake avocado, banana and cocoa mousse without sugar contains only 125 kcal, 12 g of carbohydrates and 5 g of fiber in each 100 g serving. Counting carbs minus fiber, that’s 7 g carbs, or nearly ½ carb equivalent.

    Functional Nutrition

The fake chocolate mousse is a mixture of fruits and cocoa, where there is no added sugar, it only contains the fructose of the banana and avocado itself. The original recipe uses honey instead of the sweetener, so be careful, as honey can raise your blood sugar. Also, if you replace honey with fructose, the risk of hyperglycemia is high, since the amount of normal fructose in fruits is increased by the addition.

Fructose is a simple sugar, but it is also converted to glucose in the body, which is why we use the culinary sweetener. The strong point of the recipe is undoubtedly the avocado! Many times this fruit has already been the villain of diets because it contains a lot of fat, however, this fat is a good fat for our body, which helps in the prevention of heart disease and even in weight loss. It’s also worth noting that avocado is a fiber-rich fruit! Yes, it contains almost the same amount as white guava, red guava, chocolate persimmon and tamarind. The rest of the fruits that we usually consume contain almost 2 X less fiber (compared to 100g).

The amount of fat in avocados helps lower the glycemic index of the recipe, as fat slows gastric emptying, causing glucose absorption to slow, reducing the chances of blood glucose spikes. Both avocado and banana are fruits rich in tryptophan, the precursor amino acid of serotonin, a neurotransmitter for the sensation of pleasure and well-being. Cocoa is also a source of tryptophan, making it the IDEAL recipe for people with depression, mood swings, trouble sleeping, and those on those PMS days.
